Karen Naumann, APR is a multifaceted, seasoned practitioner with more than 25 years of experience. The Federal government contractor’s current role is that of Sr. Instructor at the U.S. Department of Defense’s Information School, where she trains public affairs officers in communication strategy topics ranging from Issues Analysis and Complex Adaptive Systems Thinking to Strategic Foresight and Human-centered Design. Prior to this, she was an executive at an established D.C. public relations firm. She has also worked in communication and digital diplomacy for the Government of Israel’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs at the Consulate General of Israel to the Southwest United States. She's accredited in public relations (APR) and is active in Public Relations Society of America, the National Press Club and Washington Women in Public Relations.
