A dedicated public servant, Elana has assumed a leadership position within the Government by launching the first Speechwriters' Community of Practice in Canada. Through this group, Government speechwriters can now share tools, resources and best practices with the goal of improving Canada's oratory culture.Elana has successfully managed the Department of National Defence's speechwriting team through the most demanding speechwriting year in recent history. Leading the delivery of over 325 high-quality speeches to the Minister of National Defence, the Chief of the Defence Staff, Deputy Minister and a number of other senior departmental leaders in one year. Elana has been awarded several awards for continual professional excellence in this demanding role. She has been invited to speak in Canada and internationally about her work.
