Merck is a member of Ragan’s Communications Leadership Council.  Craig Thomason is the director of global employee and executive communications at Merck, one of the largest pharmaceutical companies in the world. In this role, he's a counselor to executive team members, providing internal and external communication strategy for elevating their voice both in and outside the company. He also supports communications for key enterprise initiatives that drive innovation. He previously served as the associate director of strategic communications and planning in the Enterprise Strategy Office at Merck. In that role, he was responsible for the development of brand voice and communication strategy for cross-functional transformation initiatives, Employee Business Resource Groups (EBRGs) and employee development opportunities at the organization. Before Merck, he was the leadership development leader in the Center for Leadership and Learning at Johnson & Johnson, as well as holding leadership roles at Bristol-Myers Squibb, CIT and other organizations. Craig is a 2x TEDx speaker and speaker coach.
